License Renewal

Hi all.  License renewal season is upon us.  I’ve outlined the process HERE.

We’re working through a few glitches. I apologize. Please bear with us.  So far, we’re aware of & working on the following:

  • On the attestation page of the online form, it asks you to attest to your date of birth, but auto-fills the field with your date of admission.  I’ve asked the folks at Vermont Information Consortium, the group that processes online renewal and payments, to fix that.  Don’t worry – if you mistakenly attested to having been born, say, 10 or 15 years ago, you won’t get in trouble. After all, the key to staying young is convincing yourself that you are.
  • Attorneys admitted to the bar within the past year, you do not have to file a licensing statement until June 30, 2018.  You may ignore the email that went from attorney licensing yesterday.
  • If you intend to retire or resign, please email me at michael.kennedy@vermont.gov

Thank you.
